May SAGAG Annual Meeting - Fun, Food, Elections

Registration

  • Planning to attend the meeting and/or have BBQ. Guest can be added for $10 per guest.
  • Non-Members, register as a guest OR members, add an additional guest.
  • Raffle Tickets 6 tickets for $5 donation. Must be present at the event to claim prize.

    Additional tickets will also be available at the event.
  • Single Raffle Ticket for $1 donation. Must be present at the event to claim prize.

  • Activity: Making Bowls for Empty Bowls

  • Members please bring a side, appetizer, or desert. 
Note: Activities will take place inside and outside so please dress accordingly so you are comfortable


The Details

2:00pm -- Make bowls for Empty Bowls

  • The Empty Bowls event has moved to November 2022 giving us a little more time to make bowls. This will be our first "bowl-a-thon" for the year with more to follow. This is a wonderful opportunity to help raise money for those in need in our community.
  • All materials supplied.

4:00pm -- Annual Meeting & Elections

-- ELECTIONS --

  • Are you interested in volunteering as a Board Member for SAGAG - we need you! 
  • Experience helpful but not necessary. Contact Denise or Sam. - There's always someone to help you if you're new to the position.
  • We're looking for someone to volunteer and run for President-Elect, Recording Secretary, Communication Secretary.
  • Other volunteer are welcome and encouraged, especially someone that has worked on websites or feels comfortable with technology to help with the SAGAG website and events listings. The system is easy to use and learn and you'll have the support of other board members and the past Communication Secretary.

-- RAFFLE --

  • Some of the prizes include: stencils, molds, a Gryphon wet belt sander (gently used), a DK Monorail large circle cutter.
  • Attending members receive 5 tickets for drawing. 
  • Additional tickets can be purchased (online at time of registration or at the event).
  • Must be present at time of drawing.

-- MEMBER RENEWAL DRAWING -- 

  • One renewing member (for Membership Year 22-23), will receive a wavier of their membership fee for one year! 

-- VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR RECOGNITION -- 

  • SAGAG relies on volunteers from the board, organizing activities, to helping out. Help us recognize the volunteer of the year! 

5:00pm - Let's Eat

  • Evening Meal provided for members-no charge, guest $10.
  • SAGAG will provide BBQ, tea, and water.
  • You're welcome to bring your own drinks, or food for your special dietary requirements.

-- What to Bring --

  • Attendees are asked to bring an appetizer, side, or dessert.
  • Optional - a camp or folding chair Members please bring a side, appetizer, or desert.

  • SAGAG, like so many, is using online meetings as a way to stay connected and offering great new speakers. We'll continue to work on new opportunities for members and expand the website. Do you have ideas? Want to lend a hand? Speak up at our next meeting or email the board

San Antonio has a young growing guild of glass artists and enthusiasts who come together from a variety of disciplines including warm, cold and hot glass. We meet monthly with the exception of August and December. It's a great opportunity to meet people who have a passion for glass. We talk, learn and enjoy each others' company.
