What is SAGAG?

San Antonio Glass Art Guild (SAGAG)

San Antonio has a young growing guild of glass artists and enthusiasts who come together from a variety of disciplines including warm, cold and hot glass. We meet monthly with the exception of August and December. It's a great opportunity to meet people who have a passion for glass. We talk, learn and enjoy each others' company. If this is something you might be interested in, please come and join us.

Kay Lorraine Lotz

San Antonio artist Kay Lorraine sandblasts imaginative designs into glass. She has a nationwide clientele and exhibits her work at the Wired Gallery and First Presbyterian Church. Often collaborating with her clients, she uniquely understands and gives form to shared ideas. Favorite subjects include the natural world and primitive designs. Her techniques range from surface etching to deep carving, defining depth with natural or artificial light. Kay invites you to enjoy the beauty of glass and light’s spirit radiating when shining through carved glass.

Kay developed an interest in glass from her brother, a lighting designer in Santa Cruz, California. She is self-taught through experimentation, but also received advanced instruction from Norm and Ruth Dobbins in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
